FARMERS NEED TO BE COMPETENT IN DRIVING AND MAINTENANCE OF FARM VEHICLE

It is said that improvement in farm production, efficiency in marketing and coordinating activities with partners and co-workers are important components in improving farm income. Hence, the Action for Skills Education and Wellness Center Corp is offering an integrated farming system covering courses in Animal Production NC II, Horticulture NC II, Aquaculture NC II and Driving NC II.

Driving a light vehicle, making minor repairs and observing traffic rules are important competencies. It is also fairly important that farmers be trained in coordination on response to emergency situations.

The farmer trainee shall also be required to acquire a driving student permit, a non- professional or a professional driving permit .

These documents will make a farmer develop self-confidence in moving a vehicle from one destination to the other. Farmers can then be part of a tour in special places with one other purpose , keep in touch with potential markets for the farm products.

The fun includes meeting people in market areas, or places where farm products can be processed of sold.

Hence, farmers are strongly encouraged to join the fun and pilgrimage tour package. This is the training package for people with more time to relax and enjoy sights in the province of Cebu. we also offer  other driving training packages at lesser cost, as the drive is limited to 2 destinations. Or a driving training package with less need for moving a vehicle but more on vehicle maintenance and minor repair.

FUN AND PILGRIMAGE DRIVING TOUR

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>><<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
LEARN THE DRIVING NC II COMPETENCIES FROM CERTIFIED TRAINERS,
DRIVE TO TOUR SITES AND BE CERTIFIED  !
OUR TRAINING MODES INCLUDE, RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING, ADULT AND EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING IN A TESDA COMPETENCY-BASED SYSTEM !
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
///////////////////////////////////////////////////

Drive through the southern highway of Cebu Province and to the hilly road to  this Miraculous and Solemn Church in Simala, Sibonga , Cebu.  Many pilgrims visit this church to thank God for answered prayers. Many wheelchairs, cane and letters of thanks from passers of examinations and from people from all walks of life are displayed in the passage to the way of the Miraculous Image of Virgin Mary mother of Jesus, the Son of God.
(note:. due organizational changes, the trip to an organic hog farm is presently skipped)

Drive through the Cebu City traffic and compare the traffic conditions of the various cities that the driving tour has encountered. Discussions on traffic rules and regulations shall be made after a visit to the Fort San Pedro. This fort was constructed during  the Spanish regime and used by the Japanese during  the occupation of the Philippines in World War II .

Take time to offer prayersat Sto Nino Church   for those who suffered during the devastation made by Typhoon Yolanda and the earthquake . The church and its belfry are currently undergoing renovations from the damage caused by the earthquake of 2013

Drive through the tunnel way. This is underneath the Plaza Independencia.( note this picture is downloaded from my cell phone camera). Proceed to Camp Lapulapu to  observe the discipline, ethics, presence of mind and safety in gun handling in the shooting range. It is said that a careless, undisciplined vehicle driver is much more dangerous and capable of harming ten times more pedestrians  and passengers with the 2,000 lbs vehicle operating in the streets than a person with a gun..

Responsible gun owners follow gun rules; (1) they  assume all guns are loaded (2)  keep trigger finger away from the trigger in moving from one target to the next,(3)  point gun only to a designated target (4) always look what is behind your target.

In driving, safe and defensive drivers always check brakes, check the steering mechanism, check tires, horn, lights as these are important components in the safety of the pedestrians and passengers. Learning road courtesy and defensive driving techniques are important to a Driving NC II certified driver,  the family, company and community.

There are persons for whatever reason WILL NOT HOLD OR FIRE A GUN. Drivers participating in the program may want to experience the thrill and fun in doing so. Interested participants may  move closer to a shooting bay for picture taking without necessarily firing a gun. For those interested to try, please inform us prior to the drive for the arrangements and documentation. What is important in conducting a session in a shooting range is experience the safety concern and focus in what one is doing at the time. Drivers need focus to the safety  of all concerned as a reckless driver can do more damage to life and property than a gun holder.

Drive to the hills overlooking Cebu City. It is suggested that a driver trainee experience the thrill of the Zip line and learn a few techniques of self-defense from the Academy of Eskrima (note this picture is downloaded from google search). These are important experiences that can build self- control which are needed in day to day driving operations. Driving uphill and downhill are tricky operations and must be practiced by a Driving NC II learner for one to be certified by TESDA.

Drive to the S curves in the Uphill and Downhill route to the Taoist temple (note downloaded from the internet). Experience a glimpse  of the Chinese culture and religious faith. Visitors to this temple can also pray and seek answers to problems with the assistance of a temple priest in using the sacred blocks. Faith in any belief is useful to a driver as a way to prepare for a journey where lives could be put at risk.

Drive to the hinterlands where the Action for Skills Knowledge Education and Wellness Center Corp is located. Experience the struggle of the people of the typhoon ravaged communities to rehabilitate and develop. Drive through the hilly terrain of Barangay Bongdo, Borbon, Cebu,
 the planned Farm Tourism Site.

The community has declared that they will develop from the ruins and be a
 FARM TOURISM DESTINATION
AND START ON THE JOURNEY TOWARDS ORGANIC AGRICULTURE
